She’s back for the Big Weekend! Pixie Lott to make Manchester Pride return

Pop princess Pixie Lott will be one of the headline acts at Manchester Pride this year.

Pixie will join Anastacia, All Saints and Eurovision song contest winner 2014 Conchita Wurst for her second Big Weekend performance.

The triple platinum singer previously performed at the award-winning LGBT festival in 2011.

News of the performer’s presence follows a pop-up show at Soho’s Freedom Bar in London that was tweeted while she was en route to the gig.

Mark Fletcher, Chief Executive of Manchester Pride, said: “We’re really pleased to be welcoming Pixie Lott back to Manchester and we’re sure her performance will wow the crowds once again.

“Pixie is joining a stellar line-up for 2014 and we’re excited to see all of our performers. This is one of the strongest entertainment line ups that Manchester Pride has ever seen, with local, national and international acts from an array of musical styles, including pop, dance, folk and rock.”

Pixie is not the only blonde bombshell to grace the Pride stage.

Former X Factor hopeful Amelia Lily will return to Manchester to join fellow reality TV stars Marcus Collins and Lucy Spraggan.

Mr Fletcher added: “We’re already feeling the love for this year’s Pride line-up, with so much buzz already building in the run up to the Big Weekend.”

The long-running event raises thousands of pounds for charity each year and has now expanded to include Pride Fridge with art, music and film with the aim of celebrating the diversity of the LGBT community.

Manchester Pride begins in three weeks, running from Friday August 22 – Monday August 25 and tickets can be found online.
