There may be trouble ahead: Fiery Roma star Pablo Osvaldo on Manchester City’s shopping list

By Glen Keogh

Manchester City could be replacing one troubled striker with another, as Roma forward Pablo Osvaldo is being lined up in the wake of Carlos Tevez’s departure.

The Roma star has had his share of controversial off-field moments, particularly back in May when he berated his manager on Twitter after his side’s Coppa Italia defeat to local rivals Lazio.

The Blues will have to go head to head with Atletico Madrid for the 27-year-old’s services, who are seeking a replacement of their own after losing Radamel Falcao.

Tevez joined Juventus for £10million, which would go towards the £15million Roma would be looking to net for the sale of Osvaldo, according to the Daily Express.

Depite Osvaldo’s problems last season, he still managed to score 16 times in Serie A last season.

City are also believed to be tracking Brazilian Confederation Cup star Fred, with the 29-year-old keen on a move back to Europe after a successful spell in his homeland with Fluminense.
