Ditch those plane knickers! Former Dragon Theo Paphitis brings lingerie store to Manchester Airport

Long-time star of the BBC’s hit business show Dragons Den, Theo Paphitis, is set to open a new lingerie store in Manchester Airport’s Terminal 1.

Boux Avenue’s newest store is set be unveiled on August 4 and will offer lingerie lovers the chance to purchase beautiful underwear at affordable prices.

Launched in 2011, Boux Avenue will be opening its 22nd store in the departure lounge of one of the UK’s busiest airports.

The former Dragon Mr Paphitis, who has an estimated net worth of £210million, said: “Opening a Boux Avenue in an airport has been on the radar for some time now, so when the opportunity came up at Manchester and in such a prime location, we jumped at the chance.

“Manchester is the largest airport outside of London, and with over 21million passengers a year passing through, it’s a great location for our latest store.

“I am confident shoppers will be spoilt for choice with our bespoke customer service, exceptional quality and range of products.”

Boux Avenue’s 2014 collection will try to impress holiday makers as its collection – of on-trend bikinis and kaftans as well as gorgeous lingerie and nightwear – should ensure the new store is a quick one stop call before boarding the plane.

“Joining us at our busiest time of the year, with nine million passengers expected to travel throughout the summer season, and opening in our flagship terminal, we are confident that this store will be a huge success,” said Beth Brewster, Manchester Airports Group’s (MAG) Retail Director.

“We’re delighted to welcome Boux Avenue to our retail portfolio and are thrilled to be their first airport store.”
