Falcao describes late-night Man Utd move as ‘a dream’ despite club’s nightmare Premier League start

Manchester United’s newest signing Radamel Falcao can’t wait to start winning trophies with the club – and believes playing in the Premier League will be like a ‘dream’.

The 28-year-old has moved to Old Trafford on a loan deal believed to be worth £265,000 a week after the club were granted a transfer deadline day extension to sign the Colombian.

And the AS Monaco player is looking forward to making an impact in the Premier League.

“For me, it was a dream to play in the Premier League,” he told MUTV.

“I always wanted to be here because this league is very good, it has very good teams and Manchester United is the best team in England. Everything is perfect for me.”

Falcao’s move is just one of many new manager Louis van Gaal has managed to complete as Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera, Angel Di Maria, Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo have all moved to Manchester this summer.

Along with the new signings and Dutch coach, Falcao – who scored 11 goals in 20 appearances in France – is confident the team can turn around their poor start to the season.

“We have very top players. I admire them. I want to meet them for the first time. I am sure that this season will be great for us,” he added.

“Yes, I am very excited for that [working with Van Gaal].

“Van Gaal is a very good trainer with a lot of experience. I want to do the best for the team, for him and for the supporters.”

United have yet to register a win this season after draws against Burnley and Sunderland and defeat against Swansea on the opening day.

The transfer of Falcao though, which was confirmed at 1.30am this morning and is estimated at up to £20million for the season, could pave the way for a revival under Van Gaal.
