Restless Wayne Rooney slams Manchester United for losing early goal despite Reds' victory at CFR Cluj

Wayne Rooney’s feathers are ruffled after having been forced to come from behind again as Manchester United carelessly conceded an early goal in Transylvania.

Robin van Persie’s heroic brace saved United from an embarrassing result against CFR Cluj last night as the Dutchman bagged his sixth and seventh of the season.

And it was two Rooney assists that put the Dutchman in on goal as Sir Alex Ferguson watched his side turn around an early slip for the fourth time this season.

"It does bother us having to come from behind because we are losing those early goals," said the former Everton man.

"It is not nice and it is something that we have to stop because we cannot afford to keep letting teams get a head start on us, especially in the Champions League because it is difficult to win the game anyway.

"We have to make sure we are more solid and hopefully we can be in future games."

United face Alan Pardew’s Newcastle for the second time in ten days and Rooney is eager to find his shooting boots after failing to notch a goal this season.

But Sir Alex remained confident about his new strikeforce and claimed: "The best quality both of them have is that they can turn a game."
