‘I’m going to knock him the f*** out’: Manchester UFC star Michael Bisping trash-talks ahead of homecoming bout

By Marios Papaloizou

Manchester’s most notorious mixed martial artist, Michael ‘The Count’ Bisping, has started trash talking ahead of his UFC homecoming bout against Mark Munoz.

The UFC returns to the Phones4u Arena on October 26 and Bisping is turning up the heat on a spectacular main event featuring two of the best middleweight fighters in the world.

Bisping and Munoz both hold impressive records and are hoping that victory in Manchester will thrust them to the top of the weight division and into title contention.

“I’m going back to Manchester and I’m going to knock Mark Munoz the fuck out,” said a bullish Bisping to Fox Sports.

“He can put that in his pipe and smoke it.”

The last time the UFC was in town was in 2009 in an event which saw the Bisping win a ‘fight of the night’ bonus for his battle against Denis Kang.

The 34-year-old defeated Kang with a second round TKO and British fans will be hoping for a repeat performance from ‘The Count’.

However, despite Bisping’s trash talking Munoz is more reserved about the upcoming bout.

“It will be an honour to fight Michael,” he said.

“I’m going to be training extremely hard and smart. I’m looking forward to it for sure.”
