Police are now investigating the disappearance of a second Czech girl to go missing in Manchester.

Aneta Zakova went missing on August 22 and is 14 years old – the same age as Silvie Kandracova, who went missing in July.

However police have said that there is no reason to believe the two cases are linked.

Aneta was last seen in the Manchester Arndale shopping centre at 4.30pm, and was last seen wearing a red body warmer with grey sleeves, a hooded top, brown chinos and feather earings.

She is 5ft 2in tall, of slim build and has brown hair. One side of her head is shaved and on the other side she has shoulder length hair.

Officers have also made a direct appeal to Aneta to come forward and let them know she is well.

There are also growing worries over the missing Silvie, who hasn’t been seen since July 16 at her Oldham home on Abbeyhills Road.

She is described as being of eastern European appearance, of slim build, with long brown hair and light coloured eyes.

It is believed that Silvie may have been seen in Oldham town centre on Saturday August 18 when she was wearing skinny jeans, a spotty top and a traditional head scarf.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
