Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli crashed his Bentley near Deansgate Locks and walked away unhurt yesterday.

The Italian striker collided with a Vauxhall Corsa along Medlock Street.

The 21-year-old was uninjured and is reported to have been joking with onlookers following the crash, while his female passenger was taken to hospital as a precaution.

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: "Shortly after 3.15pm, police were called to Medlock Street, Manchester city centre to reports of a collision between two cars.

"The passenger of one of the cars was taken to hospital for precautionary measures."

This is not the first time Balotelli has been involved in a traffic accident in Manchester having written off his Audi R8 on Hulme’s Chester Road just days after completing his £23million move to City in August 2010

The driver of the Vauxhall Corsa is believed to have walked away from the incident unharmed.
