The Printworks are giving away 100 slices of pizza for FREE – but there’s a catch

The Printworks are celebrating National Pizza Day by giving away 100 slices for free.

The cheese-ladened grub is being served up by the newly-opened O’Neill’s before being dished out to hungry Mancunians on Friday.

There is a small catch though – anyone wanting to bag a slice must keep an eye on the Printworks’ social media accounts from 12pm.

They’ll then have to follow a set of clues which will lead to a member of the venue’s team who’ll be waiting in the complex.

It’s here where the food will be waiting, just in time for lunch.

The Printworks team has already begun to build anticipation for the giveaway through their social media channels.

One tweet reads: “Do you like pizza as much as we do? Keep a check on our Twitter and Facebook for our #NationalPizzaDay give away on Friday.”

National Pizza Day is held on February 9 each year.

Its exact origins are unknown, but it began to pick up steam in the mid-2000s before becoming the popular event that it is today.

Many restaurants and takeaways around the country now acknowledge the occasion by offering special discounts to customers.
