Flasher targets Stockport women including mother and two-year-old daughter – teen arrested

By Alex Lanigan

A teenager was arrested yesterday following a spate of indecent exposures on victims in Stockport including a 36-year-old who was walking with her two-year-old daughter.

It is thought that a flasher targeted his victims up to 11 times in the Heaton Moor area since October 24 with six reports thought to have occurred on the same day.

On Wednesday the offender stalked a mother and daughter as they walked near to the bowling green in Heaton Moor Park on Buckingham Road.

The mother noticed a young man on the bowling green staring at them and saw that he was exposing himself.

She picked up her daughter and began to run towards the exit of the park but she looked and saw he was continuing to expose himself to them.

Once she had left the park she spoke to a passer-by and saw the boy on the other side of the railing staring at her.

Greater Manchester Police received five other reports from women and teenage girls, saying they had also been exposed to on November 6 in and around the park.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 5902 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
