First & Last... with Stockport's darts pro Tony 'Silverback' O’Shea

Tony 'Silverback' O’Shea is a professional darts player from Stockport. 

He reached the final of the 2009 World Championship, coming runner up to Ted Hankey. 

He has reached the finals of all the British Darts Organisations’ major tournaments, and has won competitions across Europe.  He is a lifelong Stockport County fan and often wears a blue and white scarf on his way to the oche. 

He’s beaten some of the best darts has to offer but let’s see how he fares with our questions...

First CD you owned?

The Grease soundtrack.

Last film you saw?

Hot Fuzz.  I don’t go to the pictures that often!

Last visit to Manchester was for?

A visit to the Trafford Centre for lunch.

First Mancunian you’d choose to spend the day with?

Andrew Flintoff – one of the lads and he likes a beer.

Last Mancunian you’d choose to spend the day with?

Terry Christian – I can’t stand his voice.

First thing you think of when someone says ‘Manchester’ to you?

Manchester United -  well they are the biggest football club in the world!

It’s your last day on earth and you are in Manchester – what do you spend it doing?

Drinking!

Desert island disc?

Anything by Elvis, and I love ‘60s music.

The Elizabethan, a long time ago.  Near the old Belle Vue I think!

Magaluf.  I know I’m too old, but it’s quality.
