‘Ready when their times comes’: Manchester United’s David Moyes praises progress of loanee players

By Tom Belger

David Moyes has expressed his delight at seeing his Manchester United players impressing while on loan spells.

Youngsters Jesse Lingard, Nick Powell and Federico Macheda have been banging in the goals in the Championship.

Lingard scored four goals on his debut for Birmingham last month while Macheda has scored three goals in five games at Doncaster Rovers.

“I’m delighted to see Nick, Jesse and Federico getting goals,” Moyes told MUTV.

“It shows they are doing well, especially the young ones, as we’re trying to give them games and get them more practice so they are ready for the real big league when their time comes.”

Chilean striker Angelo Henriquez is also making an impact at Real Zaragoza having scored four goals in five games.

“It tells you about the back-up players we’ve got in the squad that we can allow these players to go on loan,” explained Moyes.

“We have got a really good squad of players and there is a lot of competition for places.”
