Shocking image of ANOTHER violent Parklife attack surfaces showing reveller savagely kicked in the head

A shocking image which appears to show a reveller viciously kicking a helpless festival-goer in the head at Manchester’s Parklife Weekender festival has emerged online.

Some websites claimed the image was of the ‘brutal attack’ where a 26-year-old man was beaten unconscious and put in intensive care where he remains in a critical condition.

However Greater Manchester Police have confirmed the image is not related to that attack, but of another incident which it is currently investigating.

The image, which GMP believe was taken by a festival-goer and was not CCTV like some websites claimed, shows bystanders watching in terror as a man launches what appears to be a sickening attack on another, kicking him in the head while he is downed.

The photo is the latest sign of violence from last weekend’s Heaton Park festival, which was ‘marred’ by three stabbings and 29 arrests for drug, assault and theft offences.

More than 70,000 revellers attended the two-day event last weekend, which was headlined by US rapper Snoop Dogg.

Police spoke of the minority who spoiled the event and ignored earlier warnings to behave.

On Monday, Chief Inspector Gary Simpson said: “It is a shame that such a well-attended event is marred by the actions of a few individuals intent on inflicting violence upon other people.

“The overwhelming majority of young people attending this event were good natured and well behaved and we will do all we can to find the people who were responsible for these terrible acts of violence.”
