Green-fingered gang of thieves swipe stash of gardening and power tools before fleeing in Bury

By Danielle Wainwright

A gang of thieves stole a number of expensive gardening equipment including chainsaws and drills from an industrial unit in Radcliffe on August 3.

The men were able to force through the front shutters of the Endura House unit on James Street between 6pm and 9.30am the following day, swiping a jet washer, hedge cutters, chainsaws and strimmers.

Several Stihl strimmers were taken and are thought to be of high value.

Detective Constable Iqbal Ahmed, of Bury South INPT, said: “I now want to hear from anyone who either has information on this burglary or has been offered any of these stolen items in suspicious circumstances.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 8204 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
