In their birthday suit? Manchester votes Prince Harry to be ideal dinner guest – but Kate Middleton tops national poll

Prince Harry celebrates his 28th birthday tomorrow, and it appears he won’t be short of prospective guests.

Mancunians put the prince above Kate Middleton in a survey about who they would rather have as a dinner guest

Out of 1,000 voters throughout the nation however, Prince Harry was only the second most desirable dinner party guest out of the royal family.

Prince Harry’s votes came mostly from Manchester, with almost a quarter of voters choosing him as their ideal dinner date. Harry was also the firm favourite with female voters as 27% of women chose him over any other royal family member.

Kate Middleton was ultimately the British public’s first choice guest, beating Harry and Queen Elizabeth to the top spot. However, since the survey was conducted before her ‘topless’ photos emerged in France, it can’t be put down to them!

Prince William came fourth in the poll, ahead of his father Prince Charles and wife Camilla.

The survey was conducted by UK eye health specialists Ultralase.

Unfortunately for the Manchester public, the odds of a birthday night out with Prince Harry look unlikely with the Army Captain still fighting troops in Afghanistan.

The national results for preffered royal to have as a dinner guest:

1st Kate Middleton

2nd Prince Harry

3rd The Queen

4th Prince William

5th Prince Charles

6th Camilla
