CCTV: Sickening moment Manchester reveller kicked so hard in face his cheek shatters – while just sat drinking

By Danielle Wainwright

CCTV footage has captured the moment one Manchester clubber was punched and kicked repeatedly in the head so hard his cheek shattered – all while sat having a drink.

The 38-year-old man was drinking with four friends at Baby Platinum lap dancing bar on Princess Street at around 3am on Sunday July 21.

They were sat around a table when two of his friends walked away and a group of men walked over and sat down in their chairs. When they returned there was a brief altercation and the man who had remained with the seats was punched in the face.

He was then kicked several times in the face causing his cheek to shatter.

Detective Constable Jon Davies, from north Manchester division, said: “As you can see from the footage this was an unprovoked senseless attack on a man enjoying a night out with his friends.

“The victim was kicked so hard in the face it shattered his cheek this could have easily ended in tragedy all over a petty discussion over chairs.

“The images from inside the bar are very clear and I believe someone will know who this person is.

“If you recognise the images, description or you were one of the people who witnessed the incident, I would ask you to contact police.”

The offender is described as white, mid 20s, medium build and short dark hair.

Anyone with information should phone police on 0161 856 2510 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
