An award-winning Manchester photographer will capture every heart-stopping slam dunk, alley-oop and rebound on the Manchester Giants court this season.
Jack Hinds, 23, proves he has a real head for heights and has secured a deal with the professional basketball team for 2014 alongside his work for Miller Metcalfe estate agents.
Striking images of architecture, vibrant city scenes and unstaged fashion shots sit alongside his sport and property portfolio.
Jack explained that he has always preferred documentary-style photos which capture natural moments as opposed to artificial and staged photos.
He said: “When I started out, I just thought of things that interested me. Sometimes I’d be out and about and I’d photograph things that stood out and then let the idea progress.”

It’s this flair for photography that has proved popular with the public and saw him make the top 10 shortlist of the Bench Self Made competition.
He explained that he likes to leave people with a message when they look at his work.
Jack said: “Very often depending on the project there would be a specific message that would lie within the project which would help to piece it all together.
“Sometimes pictures need words for people to understand why a photo is taken so my message in the project is simply to help people understand why.”

Away from the drama of the basketball court Jack is quietly planning new big shots for later in the year but is focusing on a few smaller jobs in the short term.
He explained: “I have a few small projects that are ongoing, using photos taken on my iPhone but no main projects currently.
“I have lots of ideas for projects but I’ll wait until the time is right to start working on those ideas.”
