Denton woman arrested in connection with Domonic ‘Doyley’ Doyle murder

A woman has been charged with perverting the course of justice after a man was stabbed to death during a fight in Denton.

Diane Ingham, 41, of Acre Street, Denton, has been remanded into custody to appear at Tameside Magistrates’ Court on today.

Officers were called to Manchester Road, Denton where a group of between six and eight men were fighting, two of whom sustained serious injuries.

This is the sixth arrest Greater Manchester Police have made in connection with the death of Dominic Doyle, who died after being involved in an early morning brawl on Sunday June 7 just after 3am on Manchester Road.

A post-mortem later found that Dominic, who was known to his friends as ‘Doyley’, died in hospital from his stab wounds.

Others have also been charged in connection with his death.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed weapon.

Richard Lineham, 18, of Hartley Street, Audenshaw, has been charged with murder and attempted murder.

And Liam Seabright, also 18, of Rowcon Close, Audenshaw, has been charged with attempted murder.

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody for questioning.
