Man FLIPS car in Northern Quarter after hitting parked vehicle – but walks away unscathed

A man who flipped his car over after hitting a parked vehicle in Manchester city centre walked away virtually unscathed. 

Police were called around 7:45pm amid reports of a car that had turned over on its roof.


FLIPPED: The Peugeot turned completely on its side after collision  

 

The driver was travelling down Newton Street, Manchester, when he hit a parked car, causing his Peugeot 206 to flip over, landing on its roof.

Police recovered the man, who was in his 20s, before taking to him to Manchester Royal Infirmary where he was treated for minor injuries.


UNSCATHED: Man amazingly escaped the wreckage with minor injuries
 


NO ENTRY: Police closed off Newton Street to Hilton Street

He was released from hospital. No-one else was hurt in the incident.

Police closed Newton Street to Hilton Street temporarily, re-opening the road around 9pm.
