Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand’s stunning Rosso Restaurant and Bar has just launched its new summer menu.

Head chef Steve Hildebrandt has crafted a careful mix of Italian favourites with exciting new additions, set to delight the senses.

With the warm weather (hopefully!) on its way, the menu has plenty of tasty treats for people wanting a taste of the Med without having to leave the city.

Perfectly fitting for the summer season, new starters include Burrata - creamy Mozzarella served with Fig and Pomegranate Salad; Carna Salata - very Special salt beef served with a mini bottle of extra virgin olive oil and 38 month aged Grana Padano cheese, and Funghi Con Formaggio Di Capra - baked Field Mushrooms filled with Goat’s Cheese and Rocket Mousse.

Other gastronomic delights include Cervo Alla Rosso - pan-seared Venison Steak set over Roasted Sweet Potato finished with Red Wine and Roasted Shallot Jus, plus Petto Di Anatra - pan-roasted Duck Breast with Carrot and Chive Mash and Balsamic Strawberries.

Events Manager Michelle Gray said that customers over the last few months have been key to the new menu.

She said: “We discussed with a lot of guests over the last few months to get inspiration and Steve has developed the new menu based on a lot of the feedback we had.

“We hope our guests at Rosso really enjoy the new additions to the menu as much as we have loved creating them. The new menu has a real summer vibe and we will bringing that flavour through to the bar as well with a new summer drinks offering.”

It’s not just these more experimental dishes that make up the new a la carte menu, guests will also find their favourite traditional Italian dishes including a plethora of mouth-watering pizzas and hearty pastas.

The restaurant and bar situated in a grade II listed building at the top of King Street has become a firm favourite in the hearts of customers since opening two years ago, establishing itself as a key player in the high end dining scene.
