Tatt’s not right: Man Utd fan has a lot to th-ink about after spelling Sir Alex Ferguson’s name WRONG on tattoo

One diehard Manchester United fan has immortalised the saying ‘think before you ink’ – after getting a tattoo of Sir Alex Ferguson’s name misspelt on his forearm.

The unknown fan got the tattoo in tribute to United’s most successful manager, but was no doubt left feeling red faced after the schoolboy error.

Photos of the tattoo which reads: “Manchester United. Sir Alex Feguson. The Impossible Dream. 1986-2013,” have spread rapidly around twitter with a number of tweeters taking the opportunity to troll the unfortunate supporter.

Ashley Hughes posted: “One daft United supporter with spelling problems.”

And while the fan in question has the rest of their life to contemplate the own-goal, it serves as a timely reminder for other football fans to pay close attention to spelling before having anything etched upon your body.

This isn’t the first time a football related tattoo has gone wrong.

One Liverpool fan got the name of Kolo Toure misspelt on his foot while a Chelsea fan had a picture of the Champions League trophy on their back with Munich spelt ‘Munic’.
