Revealed: First headliners for Manchester Science Festival 2017

The first headliner has been announced for the 11th Annual Manchester Science Festival – Robots.

A unique collection of over 100 robots will enable visitors to discover the cultural, historical and technological context of humanoid robots.

The event, produced by the Museum of Science and Industry, will run from Thursday 19th October to Sunday 29th October 2017.

It aims to create a place for innovative, surprising and meaningful experiences, where people of all ages can ignite their curiosity in science.

The festival has curated more than 150 experiences over the years with previous highlights including Astronaut Tim Peake (2016), Physicist Brian Cox (2015) and Bez from The Happy Mondays (2014).

Carole Keating, Creative Producer of the Manchester Science Festival said: “The museum’s contemporary science programme including MSF will showcase the latest research and technology so watch this space to see what the future holds!”
