When worlds collide: UK’s biggest nightclub Victoria Warehouse to welcome ‘world’s best DJ’ Hardwell

By Tim Hyde

It’s already hosted legends such as The Chemical Brothers, Armin van Buuren and The Prodigy, but now the UK’s biggest nightclub Victoria Warehouse is set to welcome the ‘world’s best’ DJ… Hardwell.

Based on DJ Magazine’s annual Top 100 poll, Hardwell was voted as the best DJ in the world and will be taking to the decks at two sold-out Manchester performances later this month.

The news follows BBC 6 Radio’s shock announcement that the warehouse will host the station’s inaugural two-day music festival at the end of February.

The venue owner said: “After a successful two years of working alongside the Warehouse Project, the Victoria Warehouse is excited to be working with our in-house music producer’s Composite Music on a series of cutting-edge music events.

“We’ve had phenomenal feedback already for the planned first two shows with Hardwell and Laidback Luke – we can’t wait to announce our next show.”

Victoria Warehouse have also announced a second huge event which will be fronted by dance godfather Laidback Luke who will host Benny Bennassi and Eddie Halliwell.

The warehouse has become one of music lovers’ favourite venues due to the high calibre of performers and the intimate experience they share with the masses.

The owner said: “It’s long been claimed that Manchester is crying out for a venue that was both intimate and expansive.

“The city has a series of great venues offering great sound and atmosphere, but none that can be adapted to meet the needs of each and every event.

“It’s the flexibility and credibility of the space that will allow the Victoria Warehouse complex to attract some of the biggest events and artists in the world.”

Ahead of these show the warehouse space will be developed introducing a 900-capacity mezzanine level which overlooks the main room.
