Manchester's comedy festival to host Phil Buckley's Stupid World Tour

By Ailsa Macmillan

Phil Buckley will be entertaining crowds as part of the Comedy Festival on Monday.

Already a regular at telling anecdotes about his own stupidity, Phil’s Stupid World Tour takes a long look at the stupidity of the world when compared to that of his own.

Phil Buckley is already regarded as a rising star of the comedy circuit and one to watch.

The Scotsman said that Buckley was “The best example of comedy timing I have seen this year.”

This show is about what it takes to make a truly bad idea and the laughs along the way.

Phil says the theme of stupidity came from an article published when he was single and they called him an idiot looking for love.

Phil said: “I’m an idiot plain and simple."

Phil says that girls like his material more than men because he tells jokes about the relationship with his girlfriend.

Filled with hilarious observations, anecdotes and unashamed jokes this is a show you’d be stupid to miss.

Phil said: “I love Manchester. It is one of the nicest places for a gig. It’s just me, a mic and lots of stupidity.”

Doors open at 8pm at the Apotheca and tickets cost £5, buy tickets online at www.manchestercomedyfestival.co.uk.
