Toddler, 2, fights for her life after being hit by taxi in south Manchester

A two-year-old girl is fighting for her life after being hit by a taxi in south Manchester.

Emergency services were called to Crossacres, Sharston, Wythenshawe, around 12.15pm today, following reports that a silver Ford Focus estate had collided with a toddler.

The young girl suffered a serious head injury and has been taken to Manchester Children’s Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

Specially-trained officers are providing support to the family and an investigation has been launched.
