By Mancunian Matters staff

Greater Manchester came together on Sunday for the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile.

This year X Factor's Olly Murs was there to spur on the Manchester runners with a live performance.

The day saw a series of races of various distances to suit as many people as possible, encouraging Manchester residents to do their bit for Comic Relief 2012.

MM were there on the day to chat to those taking part, as well as meeting some of the famous faces doing their bit.

Full coverage of the day will appear on MM throughout today, but meanwhile, here's a selection of photos of our team meeting some of those involved.
