Wigan library attack: CCTV images released of suspects wanted after man savagely beaten

By Danielle Wainwright

Police have released CCTV images of three men wanted in connection with a brutal attack outside a Wigan library last month.

The gang chased a 28-year-old man in Ashton-in-Makerfield in the early hours of April 19 and punched and kicked him.

The victim was taken to hospital and is still recovering from serious head and facial injuries.

Officers are now appealing to the public to help capture the men responsible for the attack and hope that the images may help.

Detective Constable Sheena Maerevoet said: “This was a serious assault on a young man and we are determined to find the people responsible.
