Wigan man charged with possession and intent to supply drugs worth £500,000 after Stretford raid

A man suspected of possessing drugs worth up to £500,000 appeared at Wigan Magistrates’ Court yesterday following a police raid on an address in Stretford.

Peter Nigel Harvey, 34, of Jennings Park Avenue, Abram, has been charged with possession of class A and B drugs with intent to supply after being arrested on Tuesday.

Police recovered drugs believed to be cocaine, amphetamine, ecstasy tablets and drugs paraphernalia from a Stetford address.

A 36-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man were also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A and class B drugs and have been bailed pending further enquiries. 

The case has been directed to Liverpool Crown Court, and Mr Harvey has been sent to custody until July 10.
