The Mancorialist corner: Brother, can you spare a dime? Manchester embraces the style of street musicians

By The Mancorialist

Manchester musicians are taking advantage of the good weather and people’s sunnier dispositions by taking to the streets, musical instrument in hand, in the hope of earning of a few quid.

And it’s not just wannabe Liam Gallaghers loitering on street corners wailing a Wonderwall tribute, Manchester is home to a wealth of musical talent just begging to be heard.

Guitars and saxophones, along with the more unusual didgeridoo and classical harp, are gracing our streets.

And it’s not just the instruments that are taking centre stage.

Hats and suits seem to be the style de jour for any budding musician, but each has their own style nuance which separates them from the crowd, whether it’s smart tailored separates or a more relaxed approach to fashion, they each have something to say.

TALENT: Manchester enjoys music at every street corner

Next time you’re strolling along the street or taking a break in the city centre, take in not only the sounds, but also the sights of these remarkably talented people.
