VIDEO: CCTV shows moment Hyde cyclist DELIBERATELY run down by car – but miraculously survives

This shocking CCTV footage shows the moment a cyclist miraculously escapes with his life after being DELIBERATELY rammed by a car in Hyde.

A blue estate car intentionally crashed into the bike sending the victim hurtling over the handlebars and slamming into the concrete.

The victim suffered wounds to his leg, arm and back in the crash on St Mary’s Road, in Hyde, Tameside, at around 2.15pm on Saturday April 26.

The car hit the cyclist with such force that the bike became stuck under the front of the vehicle.

Detective Constable Darren Byrne said: “This was a deliberate, shocking attack against an innocent man, who was lucky to escape more serious injury.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident, or perhaps even the car in question, which in this case was used as a weapon by the offender.

“We hope that this appeal and the CCTV footage of the event will jog someone’s memory and help us track down the perpetrator of this seemingly random attack.”

On his escape the driver of the car, who is said to be a white man wearing a baseball cap, tried to free his vehicle from the bike by reversing aggressively.

The victim was forced to watch on from the pavement as his bike became completely crushed.
