By Mancunian Matters staff

James Martin, star of Saturday Kitchen and the man responsible for people ‘having a go’ at multiple weird and wonderful concoctions, setting off smoke alarms on a Saturday afternoon, is bringing his classic British cuisine to Manchester.

And now he wants a new team to work alongside him at James Martin Manchester.

The celebrity chef has taken over Manchester235’s Linen restaurant, and is looking to recruit the most talented team for front and back of house ahead of this autumn’s launch.

If you think you could have what it takes, don’t delay – their deadline for CVs is tomorrow.

James Martin said: “The recruitment of our team is a big part of the process for us. We want to bring together a group of ambitious and talented individuals who will help to deliver a memorable dining experience for guests on every visit. I’m confident we can find people who share our vision.”

The restaurant will have a whopping 170 covers with classic British style menu of locally sourced and big on flavour cuisine.

Justin Carter, Venue Director at Manchester235, said: “We have built up a strong team at Manchester235, right across the whole venue, from the bar staff in Vega Lounge, to the croupiers on the gaming floor and we’re looking forward to doing the same for James Martin Manchester.

“Despite the relatively short deadline for people to send across their details, with the chance of working with one of the country’s most renowned chefs on offer, we’re expecting to be inundated with CVs!”

Prospective staff should email their CVs to [email protected] or post to Manchester235, Great Northern, 2 Watson Street, Manchester, M3 4LP for the attention of James Martin Recruitment.
