Preview: Willam, Katya & Manila Luzon to star in Eastsiders final season…

LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender & queer) series Eastsiders returns to Netflix at the end of this year for its fourth and final season.

Executively produced by husbands Kit Williamson and John Halbach, the season picks up with the ‘Silver Lake Gang’ one year on.

Viewers can expect the concluding six episodes to tackle subjects such as the particular hurdles that rise when planning a ‘gay marriage’ when Ru Paul Drag Race Willam’s character Douglas is set to marry Quincy (Stephen Guarino), who both have very different ideas on what a gay wedding should entail.

With Drag Race stars Manila Luzon and Katya Zamolodchikova featuring in the season as Douglas’ all-star bridal party, this season will certainly pack a punch and will not disappoint.

The show, which first came to Netflix in 2016, has been nominated for eight daytime Emmy awards including outstanding digital drama series and outstanding writing and directing for Williamson.

Eastsiders originally started out as a YouTube series in 2012 before being picked up by the huge streaming platform.

It is described as “relatable, fresh and darkly funny” and has been subtitled in more than 30 languages – highlighting its worldwide popularity.

The show is co-produced by Wolfe Video, who have celebrated the LGBTQ+ in media and film over the past 30 years and have released content such as the likes of Bianca Del Rio’s Hurricane Bianca and Katherine Brooks’ romantic drama Loving Annabelle.

New additions to the drama will also include original Queer Eye culture guru Jai Rodriguez and Tom Lenk (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) with an added guest appearance from Walking Dead star Daniel Newman.

The fourth season of Eastsiders will be available on Netflix December 1. Trailer below…
