Au revoir Becks! Manchester United hero David Beckham joins Paris St Germain to end glittering football career

Manchester United hero David Beckham is on the cusp of joining Paris St Germain's £200million squad after agreeing terms with the French club.

The 37-year-old Old Trafford favourite has been without a club since leaving MLS side LA Galaxy last year and has been weighing up his options about where to end his playing career.

After being heavily linked with a return to Europe, despite receiving a confirmed 12 offers from clubs around the globe, the ex-England captain agreed personal terms with the big-spending Ligue 1 giants and will be unveiled at the club later today.

He has been training with Arsenal since calling an end to his five-and-a-half-year career with LA Galaxy, after leaving Real Madrid in 2007.

He helped the club lift the MLS Cup in his final game, and is now set to join some of the game’s greats with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, Ezequiel Lavezzi and reuniting with former AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti.

Beckham is England's most-capped outfield player, having represented his country 115 times.

In his ten years with United he won the Premier League six times, as well as being a pivotal member of their 1999 treble-winning team.
