The family of a Bolton mother-of-three who was murdered on Monday are paying tribute to her.

Kelly Davies, 31, of Farnworth, was found stabbed to death at her home on Queen Street after officers arrived at 1pm.

A post-mortem examination found Ms Davies died from stab wounds and toxicology results are expected in a few weeks time.

Her family said: “Kelly had a very happy childhood and had many friends. She dealt with many difficulties in her life including the loss of her mother and father.

“We were very proud of the way she had started to turn her life around and it is so sad she has now been taken from us.

“Her three children, along with the rest of our family, will miss her so much.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
