Bowling with the stars: Manchester’s new boutique alley hoping to attract famous faces

By Glen Keogh

Music fans could find themselves bowling with the stars as ‘boutique’ alley operator All Star Lanes adds a Private Room to its new home in the Great Northern building on Deansgate.

The likes of Liam Gallagher, Jason Orange, Jarvis Cocker and Celebrity Juice’s Keith Lemon are said to be huge fans of the chain at their other spots.

As well as eight main hall lanes, an 80-cover restaurant, cocktail bar and whiskey tasting room, the company is set to launch a brand new private room experience which has been a hit with celebrities in their four London venues.

In their first site away from the capital, All Star Lanes’ Private Room will feature two lanes, karaoke facilities, its own fully-stocked cocktail bar, a seasonal canapé menu and a dedicated team of staff.

Mark von Westenholz, founder of All Star Lanes, said: “After six successful years we feel the time is right to expand beyond London and there was never any question it wouldn’t be Manchester first.”

The expansion to Manchester and the inclusion of the Private Room could bring in the northern celebs who previously had to visit London for their boutique ten-pin fix.

The Private Room is set to launch when the new venue opens its doors at the end of February.
