Teenage mob charged with GBH after brutal hammer attack left Droylsden man severely injured

Three teenagers and a Droylsden man are being charged with grievous bodily harm after a savage hammer attack on a 64-year-old.

Dominic Doyle, 18, Ryan Quinlan, 17, Karl Quinlan, 32, and a 17-year-old who cannot be named for legal reasons were charged with section 18 assault.

The elderly man was callously battered on Norfolk Avenue, Droylsden, on July 7 as the mob punched, kicked and stamped on him.

He was left with severe injuries to his face, head and torso and the gang are expected in Tameside Magistrates Court today.
