Tameside shooting: Two charged over death of young dad Mark Short at Cotton Tree pub in Droylsden

Two men have been charged in connection with the death of Mark Short at a pub in Droylsden.

Luke Livesey, 27, from the Hattersley area and 38-year-old Damien Gorman from the Glossop area have both been charged with one count of murder and three counts of attempt murder.

They are due to appear at Tameside Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Thursday August 9.

At 11.50pm on Friday May 25, police were called to the Cotton Tree Inn on Market Street after a gunman had entered and fired shots.

Officers discovered 23-year-old Mr Short, a father-of-one, had been shot dead.

Three other men were also shot.

A Home Office post-mortem examination concluded he died from a gunshot wound to the neck.
