Elbow are taking over The Castle Hotel on Tuesday 28 February to launch and screen DVDs of two of their albums.

The Manchester band will be showing their ‘A Cast of Thousands’ and ‘Leaders of the Free World’ films due for release on March 12.

The original DVDs were created by Manchester’s Soup Collective and were available as very limited edition versions of the original albums.

The Soup Collective have taken these and added additional unique footage shot during the period.

The Castle Hotel, on Oldham Street, will become The Fugitive Hotel for one night only when the band take over and the films will be on rotation all evening.

Robinsons Brewery’s Build a Rocket Boys bitter, which was made specially for the band, will also be on sale at the screenings.

Entrance to the event is free but it’s via guestlist only. Contact: [email protected] to apply for free tickets.
