A teenage cyclist killed while riding her bike in the Trafford Centre access road is being named by police.

Georgia Flynn, from Flixton, was killed shortly before 5pm on June 9 after being struck by a HGV on an outer ring road of the west side complex – which links the car parks.

The 18-year-old, who worked at Nando’s and was on her way to work, suffered extensive injuries which proved fatal a short time later.

Tributes have been paid to the young woman and one eye witness said: “I saw the police cars and ambulance going to her, and the chances are I’ve been served by her too. RIP”

Nobody else was injured in the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, or the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161 856 4741.
