New Year’s Day torching rampage: Oldham man charged with six further arson attacks on cars

A man charged following an arson attack on a vehicle in Oldham on New Year’s Day has been charged with six further offences.

Liam Siddall, 27, of Chapel Lane, Royton, had been charged with arson with intent to endanger life in relation to the torching of a car on Firswood Drive, Royton, in the early hours of January 1.

He has now been charged with six further offences of arson with intent to endanger life in addition. All the charges relate to seven cars being deliberately torched in Royton and Shaw on New Years’ Day.

He is now due before Minshull Stret Crown Court on February 11.

Three other men arrested in connection with the investigation have been released without charge.
