Come one, come all: Manchester City’s James Milner hosts Christmas charity ball for NSPCC and Help for Heroes

By Chris Bailey

Manchester City midfielder James Milner is rallying supporters to join him in a charity fundraising ball for charities next month.

The James Milner Foundation – formed by the England winger earlier this year – will host ‘Christmas in Wonderland’ in aid of NSPCC, Help for Heroes and Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.

The venue at Event City will be decked out in the spirit of the festive season, while Milner promises an array of top musical acts and special surprises on the night of December 16.

He said: “With the help and support of valued patrons and partners the James Milner Foundation hopes to raise significant funds and awareness to help make a difference to people of all ages within our society.

“We have some great acts performing and I expect the ‘Christmas in Wonderland’ ball to be a great evening and hopefully raise a lot of money for such great and worthwhile charities.”

Confirmed acts so far include Uneeq, Dynamo, F2, Bo Bruce and Lawson, while many famous faces from the world of sport and television will also be in attendance.
