The body of an unidentified man was found at a school in Collyhurst today.

Police were called to King of Kings Christian school on Dantzic Street at around 7.20am this morning after the body was discovered.

The religious independent school has been closed whilst the police launch their inquiries into the death.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Roters, from North Manchester CID, said: “We are in the very early stages of our investigation and we are trying to establish the circumstances that led to this man’s death.

“Obviously, this discovery will raise concerns with parents and the local community but we are doing all we can to find out what has happened.

“There will be a police presence at the scene and I would ask anyone who has any concerns to speak to their local officer.

“I would also ask anyone who has any information as to what has happened to contact police on 0161 856 3543 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
