Mancunians continued their efforts for Children in Need by hosting a flash mob dance.
The happily named ‘Singing in the Rain’ flash mob dance was setup by the BBC outside their new headquarters at MediaCity.
There are a number of other events taking place throughout the day including Pudsey bear’s cafe take over in the MediaCity and a ‘beat the goalie’ competition.
TAKING PART: MM’s Nicholas Rawcliffe and Football Focus’ Dan Walker
BBC’s Football Focus presenter Dan Walker, said: “The flash mob thing was rather impressive.
“There was probably 300 people there all paying a pound for a poncho and making a fool of themselves for charity, which is what it’s all about really.”
A number of people who attended the event did so in fancy dress, in order to raise that extra bit of money for Children in Need whilst having fun in the process.
There was also a Shaun the Sheep chase where girls rolled giant inflatable sheep whilst chasing someone around a pre-laid course.
Today’s event follows on from last night’s Children in Need Rocks at the MEN where music stars from across the industry played to a packed out arena.
HALLOWEEN CAME LATE THIS YEAR: Girls dress up for Children in Need
Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran and Michael Buble all took part in the sell out charity event.
Children in Need starts on the BBC tonight at 7:30pm where events will be happening up and down the country to raise money for disadvantaged children in the UK.
