CCTV footage of the getaway car used in the murder of young dad Mark Short in a Droylsden pub is being released by police.
The images show the vehicle stop outside the Cotton Inn in Greater Manchester shortly before midnight on May 25 – the gunman was in the pub for 15 seconds.
Father-of-one Mr Short, 23, died from a gunshot wound in the neck and three other men, aged 25, 26 and 29, were injured in the targeted attack.
Detective Superintendent Dominic Scally, of the Major Incident Team, said: “I understand that it can be sometimes difficult to speak to police officers, but I want to reassure everyone that they can be dealt with in the strictest confidence.
“Mark was a young man with everything to live for so it is important that people think about what they know and get in touch, no matter how insignificant that information may seem.”
GETAWAY CAR: Gunman was in Cotton Inn pub for 15 seconds
The car is a blue Ford Focus and it may have been in the Droylsden area for some time prior to the shooting.
Three men, aged 29, 37 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of murder on June 12 and have been bailed until August pending further inquiries.
Detective Superintendent Scally added: “We have done a number of witness appeals and want to thank the public for their help.
“We have some clear footage of the suspect getting in and out of the getaway car. Did you see this Ford Focus?
“If you saw the car and have any details about the people in the car, the registration plate or any other information, please contact us.
“I am particularly interested in any sightings of the car in the Droylsden area prior to the shooting.
“After the shooting the car sped off down Market Street and we believe it may have driven past the Lazy Toad Pub.”
