Two criminals who hijacked a car from a terrified woman in Rochdale are still on the loose as police try to track them down.
Rochdale CID wants the public’s help in tracing the two men who forced a young woman out of her car, at a Co-op petrol station, on Edenfiled Road, Norden.
The incident took place at 9.30pm on Monday 17 October, with the victim’s car detailed to be a black Audi A3.
The woman was swiftly confronted by the two men at the petrol station and, out of fear, locked herself in her car.
One of the men managed to get into the passenger seat and demanded that she handed over her keys and got out of the car.
It was at this point that the men drove off along Bagslate Moor Road, before turning onto Bury Road.
The men are described as being white, 5ft 10in, with a stocky build, and were wearing balaclavas and dark clothing.
Detective Constable Danny Waywell from Rochdale CID said: “The ordeal has left the victim shaken as she feared if she did not hand over the keys; the men would have used violence to get what they wanted.
“I would urge anyone who may have seen the incident or a black 2008 Audi A3 being driven away at speed from the petrol station to contact us as soon as possible.”
