Rio Ferdinand’s Rosso cements its reputation as Manchester’s top eatery by serving Dom Pérignon by the glass

By Andrew Greaves

Rio Ferdinand’s Rosso restaurant is confirming its reputation as one of Manchester’s classiest eateries by offering Dom Pérignon champagne by the glass.

The popular Italian, in Spring Gardens, already has a reputation for quality food and this week a select bunch of the city’s movers and shakers were invited to a special tasting session.

Dom Pérignon, the vintage, prestige Champagne from the Moët and Chandon house, and one of the world’s most iconic, luxury brands, is currently served at certain select venues across Manchester including Rosso.

However, Rosso is now the only restaurant and bar to serve this exclusive Champagne by the glass, allowing customers a unique opportunity to more accessibly sample one of the world’s most famous, luxury products.

And Manchester United star Ferdinand is clearly excited by the prospect.

He said: “Making Dom Pérignon available by the glass is testament to our commitment to providing our customers with constantly unique and exciting gastronomic experiences.”

As well as serving up Dom Pérignon by the glass, at £25, Rosso is also offering five of its signature cocktails for £5 each from 5pm until 7pm.
