How would you fare in an apocalypse? Join Manchester’s zombie army and march for (un)dead good charity

By Ben Ireland

Many of us have had that discussion about how we would fare in the zombie apocalypse.

How about joining in as part of your Halloween celebrations?

This Sunday, starting at The Printworks, a zombie march is haunting Manchester in the name of charity, and Zombie Aid wants you to get involved.

In true undead tradition, they want to transform others into zombies to join their march, and will be wandering through the streets of Manchester – it’s bound to be a thriller.

Led by the Greater Manchester Ghost Busters, they march at 6pm, and all the family are welcome to the event that is raising money for The Big Issue North.

Organisers are urging people to get down and register between 2pm and 5:30pm.

Henry J Beans will even have make-up available to those who aren’t zombified already, but it will be limited so get down early.

Following the event, two after parties will be taking place. The family event at Henry J Beans starts at 7pm, and later on Manchester’s scariest nightclub Satan’s Hollow plays host to the creatures into the early hours.
