The London 2012 Olympic Torch has arrived in Bolton.

The flame, carried by Amir Khan, arrived to rapturous applause from the thousands who had lined the town’s streets.

The 25-year-old boxer was one of 135 torchbearers who carried the flame today and arrived at the Town Hall only minutes ago.

After bringing the torch on stage, Khan then lit the Olympic cauldron.
