Around 10,000 people cheered as the London 2012 Olympic Torch, carried by town treasure Amir Khan, arrived in Bolton today.
The 2004 Olympic silver medallist picked up the torch just after 18.45pm and journeyed it to the town hall just before 7pm.
Thousands of excited people witnessed the arrival as 135 lucky participants carried the torch throughout the day.
