What’s On in Manchester: 31 October – 6 November

Your guide to what’s on in and around Manchester this week.

Halloween Horror Night, Dancehouse Theatre, 31/10/11, 7.30pm-1am, Advanced full ticket:  £9.60, Student Discount Ticket: £8.50

The Dancehouse Theatre is promising a really haunted night on Monday. Three horror movies, a cheap bar, fancy dress and a raffle. Enough said.

 Katy Perry: MEN, 31 October, 7.30pm, £28.09

MTV Video Music Award Winner and the wife of Russell Brand takes the Manchester stage, as part of her Teenage Dream worldwide tour. She’ll be performing hits ‘Fireworks’, ‘Teenage Dream’, ‘ET, and ‘Californian Girls’. Don’t miss out!

Arctic Monkeys: MEN, 2/11/11, 7.30pm, £29.50

The Sheffield indie band is performing at the MEN on Wednesday. Tickets for their ‘Suck it and See’ tour are still available. They will be belting hits such as ‘I bet you look good on the Dancefloor’, ‘Don’t Sit Down ‘Cause I Moved Your Chair’ and ‘Brick by Brick’.

Platt Fields Park: 5/11/11, family funfair 5.30-9.30pm, fireworks 7.30pm and bonfire 8pm.

Celebrate bonfire night, with a trip to Platt Fields Park, which promises to have an amazing fireworks display. If that doesn’t take your fancy, grab a toffee apple and take a ride in the haunted house, which will be one of the many rides at the funfair.

WWE Presents Raw: MEN, 5/11/11, 7.30pm, £15-45.00

A real treat for those of you into performance wrestling. Although old-time favourites Hulk Hogan and The Rock will not be displaying their faux physical prowess, you can still expect to see WWE regulars, 6ft 11ins Undertaker, Chris Benoit, John Cena and Edge.

Britney Spears: MEN, 6/11/11, 8pm, £50-55.00

Comeback queen, Britney is bringing her ‘Femme Fatale’ tour to the bright lights of Manchester. Brit will be hitting the MEN with raunchy performances of ‘Womanizer’, ‘Toxic’ and ‘Hold It Against Me’. She has called this tour, her best one to date.

LMFAO: Academy, 3/11/11, 8pm, £10.00

The ‘Party-rockers’ will rock out the Academy stage on Thursday. You can expect the dynamic duo to perform ‘I’m in Miami Trick’, ‘Party Rock Anthem’ and ‘Sexy And I Know It’. Get your tickets now.

Halloween is upon us and what better way to get into the spooky spirit than watching a horror movie. Katie Holmes and Guy Pearce star in this seventies remake about you guessed it, a haunted house.
